Similes + Metaphors + Personification = Figurative Language

Metaphors:
1. Love is a box of chocolates that melt my heart away.
2. Hate is a cruel evil rat that bites at you.
3. Life is a wonderous rainbow of colors.
4. Friendship is a ship that sails the seas forever.

Similes:
1. Community meetings are like children sitting in a library staring at the walls.
2. Passes are like crazed monkeys that jump up and down on the bed.
3. The gym is like a giant moster full of fun.
4. My house is like an insylum with tons of loud dogs.

Personification:
1. The moon smiled at me as I looked up at it everynight.
2. The flower danced in the wind.
3. The phone got up and walked away from the desk.
4. The car roared into motion.
