Dragon Den Question of the Week

What color best represents you? Why?

The color that best represents me is the color yellow, because I am a bright person and I am constantly happy. I love to laugh, and enjoy being around other people who make me laugh, and who are optimistic about everything.

End of Year Reflection – Greatest High School Achievement

My greatest high school achievment was maintaining my grade for both years of being an underclassmen. I worked extreamley hard to keep up my grades. In the begginning it was easy to keep them up because the work was simple, but when we started to get into the harder work it started to get diffucult to keep it up. I got behind in my work, but then later on made up all my work and achieved good grades. I am proud of what I have done in school over the past two years, and i hope to continue doing well, and even better then how I am doing now, because I know that if I put my mind to anything i want to accomplish, i know that i can do it.

Portfolio - Improvement

Over the past two years, I have been working on my different areas of English. Before I was in high school my writing skills were extremely poor, but now that I have been in Ms. Priester’s English 9 and 10 class my writing skills have improved the a much higher level, and I am now one of the top writers of my class. My reading skills have always been high, even before high school. I am happy that i still got to work on my reading, because I can always get better. Since being in high school my speaking skills have improved a tremendous amount. Before I would use incorrect grammar constantly and sometimes use the wrong words in place of others. Working in groups have always been easy for me, but being in high school I have worked with a group many more times then I had expected. Before entering Ms. Priester’s class my technology skills were semi-good, but since I have been in her class I have learned how to use new tools, that I didn’t even know existed. We learned how to use a blog, create podcasts, make websites, create word clouds, and many other things. In order to continue my educational improvment I am going to work even harder in my English 11 and 12 classes. I am going to study more, continue to learn educational websites to help me in class, and continue to use everything I have learned in all my classes.

Portfolio - Future

My future is going to be very bright. I know that I am going to be successful. My goal, is to try to get a $.0 my whole Junior year, and graduate from high school with my diploma. Afterwards I plan to got to collage at SDSU if I can get accepted. I hope to have a few scholarships to help me pay my way through collage. I want to get my associates degree, and then try to get into Med school to try to get my Doctorate degree(PHD). I hope to become a doctor in the futere. I am not sure what kind of doctor I want to become, but I know that is the field I want to work in. My past experiances have helped me to work towards my future goals, by helping me to overcome obstacles, and problems that will help me to succed in the future. In order to reach my goals I will have to continue working hard in school, and continue to stive for the best. I believe that if I stay in contact with the right people, like Mr. Orozco, and other people, that they can help me to achieve these goals. I know that if I continue to work hard and continue doing what I already am, that I will be successful and accomplish these goals.

Portfolio - My Educational Experiences

Due to my educational experiences, I feel that I am sometimes behind in all my school work, and it is also sometimes difficult for me to understand things that are talked about in class when they are review for most kids. Going to over thirty schools has effected my learning dramatically, but I always try to catch up. Sometimes while being a foster youth you move around so many schools that you miss a lo of school, and learning. Many Foster Youth are behind in school because of the several moves they have to endure. To make sure that I don't fall behind in school, I constantly do my work and try to pay attention in all my classes. By doing these things I have been catching up in all my work and it is becoming easier for me to understand things in classes. I hope to continue doing good in my work and at school.
