“Through the Tunnel” by Doris Lessing Prompt B

The narrative “Through the Tunnel” by Doris Lessing would be different if it were to be told in first-person from the point of his mother because there would not be much to the story. The story would tell of the mothers worrying thoughts of being too overprotective and her worrying about her son not being safe. When the boy’s nose started to bleed constantly it would tell of her worrying about him and what he had been doing at the bay. It would be a story of suspense and mystery because it would not explain how the boy was getting the nose bleeds or what he was doing. Most of the story would be missing. This is how the story would be in the mother’s point of view.
