Dream House Paragraph with Imagery

My dream house is a big mansion that sits on top of the water in Bora Bora, Tahiti. It would have glass floors so you can see the fish swimming at the bottom, white walls, colors everywhere, white and black furniture, and a huge master bedroom. You can taste the wonderful food prepared by the master chef of the kitchen. You can smell the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen and the cool ocean air coming in and out of the house. You can hear the birds singing and whistling outside, and the water's waves rushing back and forth. All the furniture and carpet is so soft that if it was compared to a cloud, it would be softer. Everything in the house would be amazing.

Third Quarter Goals Reflection

My goals for this qaurter were to try to get a 4.0 at the end of the qaurter. To achieve my goal I have been trying to turn in all my work and I have been studying for most of my tests. Somethings I need to do differently is to turn in all my work on time instead of late. I also need to study more often for all my upcoming tests in every class I have. I know that if I do all these things and achieve my goal at the end of the quarter I will feel acheived and proud of myself because I know that I can do anything if i push myself and put my mind to it.

Poetry Experience Paragraph

I poetry studied poetry for a while in all my grades. Every year we study poetry and we are going to again this year. I have learned a lot about poetry over the years, like how to understand them, and how to write poems of our own. I have studied poetry in the past like in my freshmen class by reading them, writing them, and doing projects on them. Sometimes when I have nothing to do I will write poetry about experiences I have had or things I think about. This unit I hope to learn a lot more about poetry like haikus, and limericks. I would also like to understand some of the more complicated poems, and their meanings.

Symbolism and Allegory Unit Reflection

Over the past few weeks our English 10 class has been studying about sybolism and allegory. We have studied a lot about symbolism. We have read stories and written paragraphs tyo learn and show our understanding of it. We also learned alot about allegory. For this we read a play called "Animal Farm", it was very interesting. Then we made graphic organizers about the charcters and allegory. my favorite assignment was makeing the graphic organizer about all the characters in "Animal Farm". It was fun because we got to make them with partners and we also got to compare all the characters of the story to a trait that many different people have. I think that I learned a lot about sybolism and allegory in this unit. Our whole class did a great job!

“Animal Farm” Character’s Symbolic Meaning Paragraph

In the story “Animal Farm” by George Orwell, the character Snowball represents bravery and initiative. For example when snowball comes up with the idea of the windmill after researching and drawing up plans, he shows initiative because it shows his leadership and how he was smart. When he stood up to Squealer and Napoleon to argue that the windmill would make less labor for the animal all the animals agreed and then Napoleon scared Snowball away with the dogs. This showed Snowball’s bravery when he stood up to them and no one else would. People who take initiative and are brave usually are successful leaders and have many people support and follow them.
